Mariah has four dogs, Liv, Talent, Sprout, and Perk, all Border Collies, though in the past she has owned and worked with dogs large and small ranging from Papillons to Poodles, to Pit Bulls. When she isn’t working, she can often be found training and trialing in competitive obedience, rally, agility, disc, and other dog sports. Her first competitive obedience dog, a Doberman, earned a Utility Dog (UD) title. Since then, Liv, her current obedience dog, has gone on to become an esteemed Obedience Trial Champion (OTCH) and place 7th in the Master class at the 2021 AKC Obedience Classic. Mariah and Liv have received invitations to both Westminster in obedience and the National Obedience Championship (NOC).

The depth of relationship between canine and human is one of Mariah’s favorite aspects of training. She loves being able to help other people achieve that relationship with their dog, where there is mutual respect and understanding.
